About Us

TMA Slovakia makes a contribution to education and training of insolvency professionals.

TMA Slovakia organizes events that serve as main hubs for all insolvency professionals: lawyers, bankers, investors, insolvency practitioners and others professionally engaged in insolvencies and insolvency solutions where they can exchange their experience, views and expertise.

In addition to organizing formal meetings, our Association aims for meetings and networking of individual TMA members.

TMA Slovakia contributes to education and training of insolvency professionals and to general enhancement of legal and economic environment around insolvencies and insolvency solutions.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is responsible for TMA operations.

The Board of Directors holds several regular meetings each year. At these meetings, its members consult matters related to general direction of the Association, approve new TMA members and vote to make decisions about all important steps.

Chairman

Mgr. Viliam Myšička

Viliam is a partner in law firm Kinstellar, where he acts as firm-wide head of restructuring and insolvency. He works in Bratislava office and has over fifteen years of experience in the field. In the past, he successfully led teams in many problematic transactions, bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings, and in company restructurings. His clients include, among others, E.ON, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, Faisal Private Bank, BE Group, Opel, S&T or General Motors. Viliam is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of the Slovak Republic and currently also leads an AmCham Slovakia working group for restructuring and insolvency.

His other main areas of practice are mergers, acquisitions and real estate. He has extensive experience with advising clients in the sector of technologies, media and telecommunications. Since 2011, he is certified to give legal advice also in England and Whales.

Vice-Chairman

Mgr. Renátus Kollár

Renátus is a partner in Bratislava office of Allen Overy Shearman Sterling, where he leads the bank and financial law practice. His special focus is giving advice to Slovak and foreign financial institutions in bankruptcy and restructuring, corporate finance transactions and financial transactions in acquisitions, projects and real estate. Renátus played a role in drafting key legislation in restructuring, bankruptcy and collaterals in Slovakia.

Secretary

Mgr. et Mgr. Ivana Kováčová

Ivana is an assistant and secretary of TMA Slovakia. She has degrees in Ethnology and Marketing and worked in different jobs where she honed organizational and communication skills. She is an enthusiastic contributor to the work for TMA Slovakia.

prof. JUDr. Mária Patakyová, CSc.

Prof. Mária Patakyová has been covering issues of restructuring in her academic life as a university professor at Comenius University in Bratislava, Faculty of Law. Her particular are of interest is the issue of responsibility for discharge of the office of members of executive bodies and their actions with professional level of care and loyalty to that group which are beneficiaries a specific stage of a company’s existence, as well as raising claims by the company’s creditors.

doc. JUDr. Ing. Jaroslav Dolný, PhD.

Jaroslav is a partner in Origon Recovery Solutions, a special insolvency practitioner firm, and an assistant professor at the Department of Business and Economic Law at the Faculty of Law at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. In his professional and academic life, his main focus has been on bankruptcies and restructuring. He has authored many papers and publications on insolvency law. He is routinely engaged in giving comments on draft legislation in the fields of bankruptcy and restructuring.

Ing. Peter Brecik

Peter has more than 17 years of experience in banking and corporate work-out. Since 2019, he has been working in Tatra Banka as the head of Corporate Work Out Department, which primarily deals with corporate loan restructuring and real estate project financing loans. His main focus is on restructured companies’ financial model analyses and valuation.

Mgr. Richard Nejezchleb

Richard is one of the founding members of TMA Slovakia and a member of its Board of Directors. Having graduated from the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava, he has been working in banking and finance for over 15 years in various managerial positions, mainly in risk management. He currently leads the Special Credit department in UniCredit Bank, which focuses on restructurings, insolvencies and systematic management of bank’s failed portfolio in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. During his career, he has taken part in bringing up solutions for many leading corporate restructurings and insolvency solutions in both countries.

Ing. Lukáš Žilinčík

Lukáš is one of the founding members of TMA Slovakia. He holds degrees from the University of Economics in Bratislava and the Rotterdam School of Management. Lukáš has been active in corporate banking for over 13 years. He currently leads the Corporate Restructuring and Workout team in Slovenská sporiteľňa. During his career, he participated in a number of leading restructurings of companies and real estate projects. Lukáš has worked in restructurings, crisis management and turnaround for most of his professional life.

Pavol Pravda

Pavol is a partner in PwC Bratislava, where he leads the department of transactional consulting. His main focus is on consulting for financial and strategic investors as part of company purchase/sale (financial and commercial due diligence, valuation services, comprehensive consulting during company sale and their integrations) and as part of restructurings (independent audits).

Ing. Vladimír Horváth

Vladimír is one of the founding members of TMA Slovakia. He has been working in banking since 2005. From 2010 he leads the Corporate Restructuring department in VÚB bank. His main area of expertise is restructuring and turnaround of large corporates and SMEs, and in real estate projects in the market in Slovakia and Czechia.
